It were always raining in Ravenglass, except on days when it were fine; and there weren't many of those - not if you include drizzle as rain. And even if it weren't drizzling, it were overcast and there were a lot of moisture in the air. - Christmas brownie points for anyone who gets the reference! A view through the continuous downpour of Shelagh of Eskdale, Lady Wakefield and Douglas Ferreira at lunchtime. No trains today.

Photographer Stuart Marsh reports that this branch was hanging over the line, so it was pulled down - bringing another large branch with it!
